Collection of thoughts

Manahil Waqas November 31, 2025 English

When situation like these halt my way it feels like all the love I had for my place disappeared

But I don't even know if I have the right to comment on it

It's not one person who brings a nation down It's people it's societies it's decades, generations I

am old enough to express my opinion However not take action

Simply because of mere ' fear

What about fear

Death

What is death

Why are we scared of it

Death is bound to come

Now whether you are murdered or die naturally is the way God wrote for you to die

So why are scared for it

It's easy to sit in the comfort of my bed and write this down

I am not doing something revolutionary

Where has all the power my parents had when we would visit the passport office and I would

get my turn earlier than the ones waiting for hours

Where has that power gone

The salty is me only us upse to corse situation we are in

Power and money have all the wrong connotation in our head

Power= desire

Money = lust

Irony is we go everywhere with that tattoo of a Muslim over out head

Even though we are the ones with the least of knowledge about our religion

The Holy Book emphasizes on piety emphasizes on honesty

But what do we understand

How to beat a woman to death if she does not listen to you as her husband

For years we have been justifying taking behind the backs of people

That even religion asks one to correct someone's mistakes

My question to even myself is how can I correct someone by not informing them about their

mistake

Where does our Muslim tattoo go when we see little kids drugged on the roads on nights of Eid

Which we all know will not end in their hands

Where does this tattoo go when we see the woman working so hard at our school 's canteen to

make ends meet being underpaid

Despite the fact we just came out of a pak studies lesson

Despite the fact we just did a question on a Hadith

However we as a nation are obsessed with numericals number numbers numbers

Ne forget human heart humanity does not run on numbers but emotions

Ps. I would plead to you to give our national anthem one listen it will clearly show how the stars

our ancestors envisioned for us to grab and conquer day by day are getting more distant

Maybe because they are scared we will take their shine away just like we took the shine away of

our very own home

It pleads crys

But what can we do

Our ears are only open to the the sound of freshly printed notes

Also congrats we are officially one of the most democratic counties to exist the case that was

illegal till noon is now legal

Wonders that happen in Pakistan

Just a glimpse
